TWISTED by Emma Chase is the sequel to the hilarious and
quick-witted story to Tangled. TWISTED is written from
Kate's POV and takes place two years after Tangled. As you
know if you've read the first book in the series, Emma Chase
has a unique way of writing. She writes as if she is simply
telling a friend a story, prompting with questions and
directing reader's attentions towards details by pointing
them out.
Although Kate and Drew are madly in love with one another,
that doesn't mean their relationship is without insecurity.
In fact, while I could figure out what was going to happen
within the first thirty pages of the book, I found that I
didn't mind the predictability to it because there was
something very compelling about the writing style and
characters. As the big showdown occurred, my heart broke as
Kate and Drew tried to settle their differences. Normally,
something as easily solved as a miscommunication conflict
would annoy me about a book, but it didn't happen with this
one. Within two hours, I had devoured the book, feeling very
satisfied by the end.
It was interesting reading from Kate's POV this time. While
the novelty of reading a male POV in Tangled made the book a
success, I didn't mind the switch to a woman's POV for this
book. I don't think the book would have been has hard-
hitting emotionally if it weren't for that it was written in
Kate's POV. However, I do think it would be wonderful to
read a few snippets of Drew's POV during the more dramatic
scenes.
TWISTED is just as fun and engaging as its predecessor. With
quick wit and intense emotion, Emma Chase provides the
perfect entertainment for her readers.
When spontaneous and carefree meets cautious and
responsible, falling in love can get just a little Twisted
There are two kinds of people in this world: the ones who
look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of
a looker. A planner. Cautious. Then I met Drew Evans. He was
so persistent. So sure of himself. He made it easy to leap
with him.
Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the
sunset and live happily ever after? So did I. But life is
about choices, and Drew already made his. In fact, he tried
to decide for the both of us—but you know that’s not my
style. So I came back to Greenville, to spend some time
alone . . . sort of.

back to where you began before you can move ahead again.
