Axi and Robinson are best friends. Axi is the perfect student and Robinson is a drop out. One day the perfect good girl Axi decides that she and Robinson are going to go on a nationwide road trip. They begin their trip with Robinson stealing a motorcycle and it just gets crazier from there. These two kids have both suffered great loss, Axi lost her sister to cancer and then her mother left. Robinson never talks about his family.

As they travel around the country their love for each other grows and readers will discover insights not only into the characters but themselves as well. Both of the characters are wonderful and you can't help but love their story. A warning about FIRST LOVE, don't read it in public unless you're ok with crying in front of strangers.

James Patterson has hit another home run with FIRST LOVE. You won't want to put it down and at the end of the story when you have used up your box of Kleenex you'll wonder how people fail to live life to its fullest every day.
