Abby Carter's husband, William, passed away in a railroad
accident. Having been more of a dreamer than a farmer, he
left her with debt that she cannot keep up with. She's
already sold her most valuable possessions to keep up, but
then Doc Rachel comes in with a proposal that Abby cannot
refuse. Caleb Gentry's wife, Emily, passed away while giving
birth the night before, and now Baby Betsy needs a wet
nurse. Abby thinks that perhaps this is the answer to her
prayers.
When Caleb Gentry's wife passes away, he knows he needs help
to raise his baby daughter. Doc Rachel suggests a wet nurse.
What he didn't expect was Abby, with her loving spirit,
strong faith, warm heart, and her two kids.
Negative gossip about Abby and Caleb living in the same
house has the townspeople talking. Wanting no one to say a
bad thing about Abby, Caleb's answer is to marry her. Now
he has a wife and three children, and the thought terrifies
him. He doesn't know what to do with children, but Abby
makes him want to be a better man. He has never had an easy
life, making his new family work is his most important
challenge yet.
I love WOLF CREEK WEDDING. It is so sweet and enjoyable, and
the characters are amazing. You just can't help but relate
to them. It is also amazing the transformation this family
goes through. WOLF CREEK WEDDING is the first book by Penny
Richards I have read, and I really enjoyed it. I will
certainly be looking for more of her books.
A Marriage of Necessity
Widow Abby Carter hopes to find love again—unlikely with a
man like Caleb Gentry, who doesn't even believe in it. Their
marriage isn't ideal, but Abby's two young children need
security, and Caleb's daughter needs a mother. Perhaps this
is one of the Lord's more mysterious answers to Abby's prayers.
When Caleb Gentry's wife passed away, he knew he'd need help
to raise his baby girl. Abby's loving spirit, strong faith
and warm heart make Caleb want to be a better man. It won't
be easy. But Caleb's never had things come easy in his life,
and making this new family work will be his most important
challenge yet.
