After winning a photography contest, Willa gets a trip to
Dublin. Fortunately for her, the trip is a perfect
opportunity to get away from her problems, namely a
heart-twisting breakup. When she meets tough, brass Shane
Claymore whose family hosts her stay, she does her best to
push aside the attraction she feels for him, especially as
it gets her more confused than ever over how she feels about
her breakup. But as the two try to stay away from each,
their chemistry won't seem to let them stay away for long.
They will both have to learn what it means to open
themselves up and be honest if they ever want to be
together.
UNFIXABLE by Tessa Bailey is without a doubt one of the most
beautiful, bold, and memorable new adult romance books I've
read. I've seen tough girl main characters, fast boys with a
tender side, and accents of all sorts, but somehow, Bailey
delivers them in a unique and utterly breathtaking manner
that had me trying to hug my Kindle app. Willa and Shane,
now on my list of favorite literary couples, do something
that I think is irresistible in romance couples: they keep
each other in check. Willa and Shane both try to wiggle
their way out of awkward conversations with each other,
uncomfortable moments, etc., but neither of them let the
other get away with it, and it's absolutely wonderful to
read. I wanted to high five them both so many times that I
shamelessly ended up having to give myself a high five once
just to get it out of my system.
But more than just their strength as a couple, individually,
Shane and Willa develop phenomenally throughout the
story. They both have intense pasts, though still realistic,
and they both take a journey in realizing what makes
themselves themselves, what spark it is that makes them
their own person. I fell completely in love with them, and I
was so sad to see them go.
If you like new adult romance, UNFIXABLE is not one to miss.
Refreshing and pure joy to read, Tessa Bailey has done a
magnificent job.
