UNLUCKY 13 is the next installment in the Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro. The book begins when Lindsay and her partner are called to the scene of a double fatality car crash by the Medical examiner, Lindsey's friend Claire. The accident turns out to be murder when it's discovered that the people did not wreck until after they exploded. Immediately Detective Lindsay Boxer and her partner Rich Conklin are on the case and the excitement begins. Mackie Morales, the woman who fooled everyone in the police department including Rich Conklin whom she seduced, has been spotted. Mackie escaped from the hospital after she had been discovered helping the serial killer Lindsay was chasing in the last book. Now Lindsey's reporter friend Cindy, Rich's ex-girlfriend has decided she is going to go out on her own and catch this very dangerous wanted felon and get the interview of a lifetime. This causes even more problems for Lindsey. At the same time the fourth member of the Women's Murder Club Yuki has just become engaged to Lindsay's boss. The four women, Claire, Lindsay, Yuki and Cindy's lives and stories are all non-stop action and trouble as they intertwine and come together creating another great story by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
