FBI Special Agent Vaughn Roberts story is up in IT HAPPENED ONE WEDDING. Vaughn is the ultimate playboy, and still enjoying himself immensely playing the field. He is in a coffee shop one evening, where he observes a good-looking woman struggling through what is obviously a blind date. When her date leaves, Vaughn decides to make a play for the woman himself; and is more than a little surprised when she coldly brushes him off and leaves.
Sidney Sinclair has just moved back home to Chicago to take a job as the director of an investment firm. She has just left New York City after finding out her fiancรฉ cheated on her two weeks before the wedding. Chicago is Sidney's chance to start again with a new life and a new job. She has her own strong ideas as to what constitutes an ideal man. Sidney is looking for relationship material; and the smooth-talking stranger in the coffee shop falls far short of her ideals.

IT HAPPENED ONE WEDDING is the 5th book in Julia James always delectable FBI?US Attorney' series. As always, the story is well-written and witty; a hallmark of this authors writing. James specializes in white collar world people looking for love in all the wrong places. There are some interesting insights into both protagonists jobs, as well as some drama surrounding Isabelle. There are also several scenes of warm and funny catch-up moments with characters from the previous books in the series.
IT HAPPENED ONE WEDDING, however, can easily be read standalone; and would be a good starting place for new readers to Julia James delectable stories.
