Romance Suspense

I started reading this and didn't put it down till I was done. THE ASSASSIN'S HEART has mystery, intrigue, excitement and romance. It's a fast paced story that is great for an afternoon with time to read. Hannah is a government assassin who along with her partner Ben is out working a job. After Hannah kills the target she realizes she has killed the wrong person. When they are called in for the debriefing Hannah is notified in advance that she is in danger and runs. Hannah disappears and makes a new life for herself, gets a cat tries to be normal, until Ben finds her. He finds her on a work retreat in Hawaii and throws her new life into chaos. There is no way for her to know if Ben is there to help her or kill her. There are multiple attempts on Hannah's life and she can't seem to stay out of harm way. It soon becomes clear Ben wants her and she wants him. The problem is does he also want to kill her and if he has betrayed her before will he do it again. The struggle J.A. Kazimer creates between Hannah, Ben and the people in charge of the government organization they work for leaves you guessing till the very end just who the bad guys are.

SUMMARY

When CIA assassin Hannah Winslow mistakenly kills the wrong man, she vows never to take another life. Unfortunately Hannah's superiors believe the killing was intentional. Now Hannah is the target. Hannah always knew it might come to this. Surprising her colleagues, she manages to disappear completely into a new, screamingly dull life, assuming a fake identity, shacking up with an overweight cat, and starting a new career as an ad executive. Hannah's past finally catches up with her at a company retreat in Hawaii, where her former partner Benjamin Miller has tracked her down. Is it a coincidence that assassination attempts on her life are now as common as rum, suntan lotion, and tiny umbrella drinks? What is the real reason for Ben's presence? Will he be her savior or her assassin?
