Glory Walsh has a problem, well really a couple of them. She has a fear of abandonment that gives her panic attacks and one very sexy bear shifter who wants to be her mate. The second problem isn't so bad and a big part of her wants to see him BEAR NAKED, but he once left her when he should have been by her side.
Ryan Williams is Glory's mate, and he did leave her once. She was in the hospital, having been shot; the staff wouldn't let him stay with her so he took off to find the shooter. That done, he immediately returned but try to get that through her thick blue-haired head. He finally wrangles a date from her, but things get really bizarre when she thanks him for the gifts he had been sending her. This turns out to be a big problem. He hadn't been sending gifts, and his jealous bear wants to know who would dare send things to his mate.
Before long, Glory's past is coming back to bite her, and Ryan isn't going to put up with that. Their lives are about to get really strange and very frightening.
BEAR NAKED is an amazing story with a lot of deeply emotional drama and some much needed laughter and lots of love. As you read you will find this storyline filled with a number of circumstances that could, unfortunately, come straight from newspaper headlines. Author Dana Marie Bell handles all the situations as only a romance writer can. With a little paranormal twist, she shows that love and support will conquer everything that is thrown at you, even an evil werewolf. I found Glory and her friends Cyn and Tammy to be just what friends should be; there for each other and protective as if they were kin. Ryan is adorable as he tries to maneuver Glory into being his mate without going overly macho, something hard for a grizzly, but he manages, most of the time. This is a fantastic read, and I cannot wait for more.
Just a small warning...if you have not read the other two books of the Halle Shifters by Ms. Bell, you might be a little confused by how all the characters are connected, but that will not affect the pure enjoyment of BEAR NAKED.
