Billionaire hotel owner Noah York first met Claire Kramer when they were both severely wounded at Trace Weston's business party. For her part, Claire had been the victim of a politician's crazed son, Ethan Harrison. Only 16, Claire had become the young man's obsession. After he murdered her parents, Ethan tried to kill Claire and was sent to prison. His powerful Senator father, however, still blames Claire for his son's actions. He proceeds to smear Claire and runs her reputation; as well as getting her fired from any job she has had, basically ruining her future, also.

Noah is Claire's last hope for protection and a decent job. It isn't long, however, before their business relationship turns very personal. After Senator Colby Harrison is murdered, Claire is harassed by Gwen Lazlo and Lane Scott; two cops/lovers who are determined to pin the murder on Claire and Noah. When a stalker closes in on Claire and danger surrounds her and begins to close in; will Noah's protection be enough to save her from certain death?

MINE TO HOLD is a taut, well-written suspense story; probably the best written and best all-around story of the books so far. This is the third story in Cynthia Eden's Mine series, after the two books about Skye and Trace. The stories revolve around the three men who served together and worked in a risky business venture; and Drake Archer's story looks to be next up in the series. MINE TO HOLD is a very good story in a series which is getting better by the book. Although the first two books of the series are tied together in storyline, this story can easily be read standalone.
