Hope Ramsay has done it again! She has a way of making you
fall in love
with all the wacky residents of Last Chance and in LAST
CHANCE KNIT &
STITCH you just can't help yourself. LAST CHANCE KNIT &
STITCH is
book six in Hope's Last Chance series. It is the
story of Molly and Simon.
Molly is Coach's daughter. He was the high school football
coach when
Simon was on the team. Simon has a deep respect for him.
Molly is
getting ready to start up her own auto restoration business
with her
business partner Les until her mother decides to run off and
see the world.
Now Molly is in charge of her mother's yarn shop and her
life seems to be
going downhill fast. Miriam, the town matchmaker, has told
Molly that she
will marry her prince, that she has known him almost all of
her life, but that
she is going to have to wait for him. The whole town
assumes she means
Les. But Molly knows better and tries, unsuccessfully, to
convince them
that they are wrong.
Simon Wolfe is a bit older than Molly who was four when
Simon played on
Coach's team. He would rub her head for good luck before he
would go on
the field to kick. She has been infatuated with him since
then but he moved
away many years ago. That is until now. His father has
passed away and
he has returned to take care of his fathers affairs and sell
the family home.
When he sees Molly again after all these years, she stirs
up feelings he
didn't know he was capable of. Now the fun begins. Coach
warns him
away from Molly almost right away and Simon is torn.
It is so awesome revisiting my friends at Last Chance. With
each book,
Hope makes you feel like you are right there with them,
sitting in their
knitting circle and getting caught up with all the towns
gossip. I love the
kooky residents of Last Chance and in LAST CHANCE KNIT &
STITCH we
catch up with some favorites and meet some new ones too.
All the
residents try to help Molly and even Simon but they wind up
messing them
up and interfering when it is all Molly can stand. The
southern charm that
oozes from all of Hope's Last Chance books is spot
on. I want to find a
town in the south like Last Chance and take knitting lessons
from the Purty
Girls. I can not wait to read the next book, INN AT LAST
CHANCE in 2014.
Hope has quickly become one of my favorite go to authors.
Molly Canaday wishes she could repair her life as easily as
she fixes cars. She was all set to open her own body shop in
Last Chance when her mother ran off and left her to manage
the family yarn shop instead. Now guided by the
unsolicited-though well-intended-advice of the weekly
knitting club, Molly works to untangle this mess. But her
plan unravels when the new landlord turns out to be
difficult-as well as tall, dark, and handsome.
Simon
Wolf returns to quickly settle his father's estate and then
leave Last Chance for good. Still wounded by a broken heart,
Simon is surprised when the town's charming streets and
gentle spirit bring back good memories. Soon the beautiful,
strong-willed Molly sparks a powerful attraction that tempts
him to break his iron-clad no-commitment rule. Can Simon and
Molly find a way to share work space-and build a future
together in Last Chance?
