Steve RED Redstone, only plans to help out a buddy. How much trouble could there be in him keeping an eye out for Deke's little sister, who was in Vegas for a bachelorette party? Trouble? How about an attempted kidnapping of the whole party after drugging them? Finding out his buddies little sister isn't so little and she's his mate and seems to be human. Then of course trying to get a handle on who it is that wants Trisha and why. Then to top it all there is dealing with his new mate's overprotective brother. No trouble at all!
Trisha Morrow should have known her brother wasn't just going to let her go to wild and wicked Vegas with her girlfriends without some sort of protection. Her first look at the Red her brother talked about could have gone better but she guessed ralphing in front of the sexy guy was unavoidable. What she certainly does't expect is her almost immediate attraction to the him nor his to her. And when he puts together her little secret and isn't freaked out she is thrilled, finally someone she can be free with. She also finds out his secrets and much more than she expected, things even her family kept from her. Some things she wasn't sure she would quickly forgive them for.
I always wonder how an author can keep a series going, keeping it fresh and alive and am always amazed that sometimes they even get better as with RED. This is the second of Author Bianca D'Arc's Redstone Clan books and it is as sexy and alive with mystery and intrigue as any other book written by her. Steve and Trisha fit perfectly together, neither of them slackers in the looks department but they also have careers, he with security and she as doctor, doing mostly research and lab work that proves intelligence and caring. I did find it interesting that she was so naΓ―ve of the "other" world as an adult, because with her analytical brain why didn't she question how it was possible that no other magical beings existed? Sorry just a stray thought, but it was fun to watch her learn and accept her new world. I have read and love everything that this author has put out, Ms. D'Arc has a way with a paranormal that will keep you glued to the pages and wanting more when you are done. I am already in line for the next book coming from her magical mind.
