Sara Beth Reynard is a fox shifter and lately her life has been miserable. A sleazeball tabloid reporter has her pasted all over his rag with stories about her being a werewolf. Which is insulting enough and she hopes it is something that will blow over instead things get worse. When someone tries to kidnap her, she is going to be sent off for her own protection ... right into the arms of her most SECRET PASSIONS.

Patrick Aquila, is a were eagle and the queen's First Consul, but when it comes to Sara Beth he is the only man for the job. He also recognizes his mate, even though they are different species. It's not completely unusual his queen is an eagle and her consort is a leopard but it's a good excuse for her to put up a fight. He has his hands full: he has to keep her safe, find the kidnapper, find who leaked the news about her and make her believe that he isn't an adrenaline junkie and she is perfect for him. While Sara Beth comes off as confident in everything, she is anything but in relationships so he will really have to earn her trust.

SECRET PASSIONS has you flying right into the action from the first page to the last. Author Loribelle Hunt continues her Forbidden Passions world with this fast paced story with two very intriguing main characters. Sara Beth and Patrick are immediately aware of each other and indeed burn up the pages with the sensual call of mating. All the supporting characters add humor and assistance to the couple as they work toward the trust that was needed. I loved the pink bedroom that Sara Beth designed for her brother as payback, it is just a little hint of the family dynamic. My one complaint was with Sara Beth, her character seemed so strong but she acted as if she couldn't believe that Patrick would not one day be bored with her. Those feelings just didn't seem to fit and no real reason was ever given that explained them.

I do believe with the way it ended shows that there are still a lot of questions that need answers and I can't wait to read more of Ms. Hunt's books.
