Romance Suspense
Joelle LeBeau is a social worker who specializes in helping women escape domestic abuse. It can be risky when the men want their wives or girlfriends back. One man will do anything to get his wife back. The letter from her stepfather's attorney comes at a perfect time, as someone has vandalized her car. She knew who it was and disappearing to the childhood estate seemed like a good idea. THE REUNION with her sisters is a fantastic idea she had no idea that danger will find her there.
Tyler Duhon, William Duhon the estate attorney's son, is back from the Middle East. He plans to begin a security business but he doesn't want to be hands on. His father wants him to play bodyguard to the last sister to fulfill the requirements of inheriting. After what had happened to Alaina and Danae he wanted someone watching over this last daughter. One look at Joelle and his mind is changed and when someone tries to hurt her, the protector breaks through. No way was anyone going to get away with that.
THE REUNION is the amazing finish to the Mystere Parish: Family Inheritance series. Joelle and Tyler, both with real issues, match each other nicely and the secrets come out and the feelings start to show. Once again author Jana DeLeon weaves a storyline that has a number of twists and turns with an ending that comes out of nowhere but will leave the reader thrilled. If you love a happy ending this book will deliver.
This book is a 2 for 1 and the second book is The Secret of Cypriere Bayou. Olivia Markham is a horror writer and she rents "haunted" houses for inspiration. This time she has chosen the estate evilly named laMalediction. I seems the ideal setting but with it's strange noises, hidden passageways...and the unwelcoming, sexy caretaker John Landry, Olivia isn't sure that this place isn't really haunted. John has work of his own to do and he doesn't need the distraction of a mysterious beauty. He can't ignore the fact that something strange is going on in that house. They find themselves working together to ferret out the secrets but they also find that their attraction for each other is mutual and extremely satisfying.
The Secret of Cypriere Bayou is a fascinating look into bayou life with its different rhythms and superstitions while adding in a sweet romance between two equally strong people. No matter how many times I read this author's books and I do enjoy everything that comes out of her wicked imagination I can never guess the ending. All the twists and turns keeps the storylines fresh and interesting.
SUMMARY
An heiress comes home to terror in New York Times
bestselling author Jana DeLeon's Mystere Parish: Family
Inheritance miniseries. Bodyguard to an heiress is Tyler Duhan's idea of hell. The
steely, sexy ex-marine has heard—and dismissed—the gossip
about the haunted old LeBeau mansion and its "cursed"
heiresses. Now the middle sibling—headstrong Joelle—has
arrived to comply with her mother's will and reunite with
her long-lost sisters. But no sooner does she move into the house, than Joelle
falls prey to terrifying threats and mysterious visions.
Tyler, though he's sworn off femme fatales, can't deny his
feelings for the Creole beauty. Nor can he let passion
distract him. Because falling for Joelle could be a fatal
mistake—for them both.
