Sabrina Wolfe is an artist who also reads tarot cards and
lately she has been having dreams about a mysterious lover
and a frightening entity that invades the sensual
experience. The young artist and her two friends try to
interpret these dreams and place protection on her and her
possessions. But when she finds a part of an old carousel
in the life size shape of her favorite animal she takes it
home. She knows something is coming but she has no way of
knowing she will soon hear the HOWL OF THE WOLF and know
her adventure is just beginning.
Arand, the wolf, is the last of the immortal warriors sworn
to protect the Lady of the Beasts. They were all cursed in
their animal forms for 5,000 years; it was the only way the
Lady could think to protect them when the war with the
Greek God seemed hopeless. His friends were all released,
Stavros and Phoenix died rather than join Hades, Mordecai,
the serpent and his best friend had joined the evil God,
but Roric, the white tiger, Marko the bear and Leander the
lion were free of the curse and Hades. Now it was his turn,
would he be strong enough to protect himself and the woman
who releases him?
HOWL OF THE WOLF is in a word ... spectacular. This is the
fourth of the author's [N.J. Walter] Hade's Carnival series
and it is just as fresh and wicked as the first one. The
romance between Sabrina and Arand follows the pattern of
the other books but this time Sabrina believes right away
in what might happen and does what she can to protect her
friends and her wolf. A number of secrets come out and
help in defeating Hades comes from many angles in the
devilishly twisted ending. I for one was happy that I was
right about Mordecai. If you want to know the truth about
the serpent you will have to read this book. While you're
at it grab up the others in the series ... you will be glad
you did.
Hell’s last chance could mean their last breath. Hades’ Carnival, Book 4 When artist and tarot reader Sabrina Wolfe runs across an old carousel wolf in an antique shop, she can’t resist buying the compelling symbol of her totem animal, her protector. But she isn’t prepared when the wooden animal comes to fang-flashing life—and shifts into a darkly sexy man. Arand is the last of seven immortal warriors sworn to protect the Lady of the Beasts. Freed by Sabrina’s touch, their instant physical attraction is hot, intense—yet neither is safe until twenty-four hours have passed and the curse is truly broken. Hades plans to use every one of those hours to unleash his last effort to control the world—or see both the warrior and his woman dead. Though help comes from unexpected quarters, Arand and Sabrina alone risk paying the ultimate price for victory. Their lives…and their very souls. Warning: This book contains an immortal warrior who can pour on the heat, a woman who can take it, gods, demons, and downright nasty battles. Now really, does it get any better than this?
