Suspense

Cardiac surgeon Adrian Douglas is somewhat of a rock star at what he does. Saving lives is his specialty and he loves it. Actually, his career is sort of all he has at the moment after having gone through a divorce that he never saw coming. Life has just been kind of moving along for him in a day to day fashion.

This all changes the day that he walks into the crowded hospital cafeteria and can only find one vacant seat at a table where a beautiful nurse is sitting. Megan Haggerty plays it cool but they both feel an intense attraction to each other that cannot be denied. In no time, they are seeing each other regularly. So regularly, in fact, that Megan allows Adrian to meet her 5 year old daughter, Marlee. He and Marlee instantly take to each other.

Everything would be wonderful except for the fact that Megan comes with a bit of baggage that she thought she had left behind years ago and many states away. This stalker is a dangerous one and has no intention of letting the three of them be a happy little family. The stalker wants only one thing: their death.

Author Mark Rubenstein is a physician, a psychiatrist and an assistant professor of psychiatry. His vast experience is very noticeable in LOVE GONE MAD but in a user friendly manner. He takes a familiar theme and turns it into something that you never dreamed possible. Sometimes science can be stranger than fiction and that's certainly the case in LOVE GONE MAD.

While his characters may be a little syrupy on occasion, it doesn't take away the fact that they are endearing and you really root for things to turn out great for them. You want these people to have their happily ever after ending. The stalker is one like you've never seen and hope never to have that experience.

There's one twist and turn after another in LOVE GONE MAD. In fact, your jaw will drop plenty of times whether it's from horror or amazement. When you pick up this book, and you will definitely want to; prepare for one wild ride.

SUMMARY

When heart surgeon Adrian Douglas and Megan Haggarty, RN, meet at the hospital where they work, neither has any idea of the scorpion's nest into which they've stumbled. Strange and frightening events begin happening to each of them; someone is after them both--and the stalker is not only brilliant and crafty, but vows to exact revenge for the ultimate betrayal. As things spin out of control, Megan and Adrian fight for their lives.

When a spine-tingling trial for attempted murder is resolved, things return to normal--or so it seems. But more chilling surprises await the couple as Love Gone Mad rockets to a conclusion that brings the legal, medical, and psychiatric communities to their knees.
