Taryn Campbell's life is moving along nicely, she has a great job filming archeological mythological finds all over the world; she has a great sidekick named Merlin and a hunk of a boss Lauren McBain. How was she to know that another hunk riding a motorcycle was about to enter her life and have her FIGHTING FATE?
Jesse Mohr has been looking for Taryn for awhile; he wants to take her home to meet his adopted and her biological Mom, Reed Mohr. But most of all he wants to take her home to Potter's Woods, an alternative healthcare facility run by his adopted parents. To have her where she belongs. Convincing the strong willed woman would take some doing but when thugs try to kidnap her ... he takes charge. And neither of them will ever be the same. Taryn is about to find out everything in her life has been leading her to a decision that will bring her more than she ever dreamed.
FIGHTING FATE is a look into love, family, magic and mythology rolled into one intriguing book. Taryn and Jesse are both strong willed characters and it was incredible watching them both work through their feelings and come together as they were meant. There is also an additional storyline in the mix about Shannon O'Shay, (from book 1 of The Warrior Chronicles) as an old love returned with a grownup surprise. The secrets kept by a number of people added to the drama and the spice was definitely there between Jess and Taryn. If you enjoy hot and heavy encounters, this book will please. My only complaint is that if you have not read Sparring Partners book 1 of The Warrior Chronicles, though this one is a stand alone book, you might not have enough background information on all the characters in the "family." I did get lost a couple of times and had to backtrack, but this is just my nitpicky problem and I usually complain about too much information. Both of The Warrior Chronicles books are must reads from author Leigh Morgan.
Jesse Mohr longs to reunite his adoptive mother, Reed, with the child she gave up for adoption years ago. Taryn Campbell is about to embark on the expedition of a lifetime, trying to decipher the cryptic archaeological clues left for her by her now deceased father. When Taryn learns her true identity, will she accept it, or fight her fate
