Alisha struck me as someone I would love to be friends
with. Though she is constantly hounded by others, she
doesn't allow them to hinder her sights on what she wants.
She is a very strong-willed woman and I found her character
to be very admirable.
Similarly, Devon's character complemented Alisha so well.
He was never pushy or demanding yet I will admit I got a
kick every time his jealously slipped through. I rather
liked the way the chemistry slowly built to a boiling point
in this book. It felt more authentic, more true to the
storyline than the first book.
Arend's writing seems to have settled down and found
its niche for this series. The pacing is wonderful and the
details of the search-and-rescue missions show just how
much research Arend has put into her work. All of that pays
off in the end. HIGH PASSION takes the Adrenaline
series to new heights!
