Romance Paranormal

All Daniella Delaney wants to do is open her cupcake shop, in Chicago, but she can't seem to convince the business association that she would be a perfect addition. She has no way of knowing that by opening Heavenly Cupcakes she will soon be SLEEPING WITH THE ENTITY.

Nick St. George is the leader of Vamptown Clan and he has no intention of allowing a human to open her store in his neighborhood. Unfortunately there is something very different about Daniella ... she can't be compelled. That in itself makes the chatty woman intriguing but he finds other parts of her just as irresistible. Problem is she's human and they have no idea vampires exist. It's safer all around for all of them, but when someone endangers Daniella, Nick's plans change drastically.

Daniella's world becomes much more stressful than the mere opening of her shop. Suddenly there are such things as vampires. And after an outsider vampire comes after her, the only person or rather vampire she can turn to is Nick. But when she is with Nick the last thing on her mind is bad vampires... she wants to know how good he can be.

SLEEPING WITH THE ENTITY is a hot, fresh and funny vampire story. Daniella is a peppy, dynamo with a specific goal in mind and nothing will deter her. Nick comes off as a bit stodgy and very set in his ways and doesn't plan on letting a mere human change that. I really enjoyed the additional drama and humor brought to the storyline by the secondary characters, especially Pat and Bruce but even cranky Tanya adds just the right touch of vampire scorned. The title of the book is a bit misleading as the sleeping with comes very late in the book but it was fun watching Nick dance away from Daniella only to come back again as if he couldn't help himself. I also do not usually comment on the cover but this one is exactly how I pictured Nick. I hope author Cat Devon continues this vamp world in future books because I really want to read more.

SUMMARY

Meet Daniella Delaney. She’s all ready to open her shop, Heavenly Cupcakes, in one of Chicago’s sleepier districts. But she’s having a hard time convincing the local business association—namely Nick St. George—that she’s a good addition to the neighborhood. Daniella hopes that her famous red velvet cupcakes will be enough to melt any man’s heart. But Nick is no ordinary man. He’s got fangs. As leader of the Vamptown clan, Nick has no intention of letting Daniella breathe new life into his old haunts. But something about her leaves Nick hungry…for more. He can’t control her mind like other humans, a trait that makes Daniella irresistible. Could it be that, for the first time in centuries, Nick has met his match? Love is always a force to be reckoned with. But can this vampire have his cake and eat it too?
