Romance

JUST IN TIME by Addison Fox is WOW...WOW....WOW. This is one hot and sexually charged read. But as a fan of Ms. Fox's Alaskan Night series I knew that when she wrote Avery Marks and Roman Forsyth's book it would be steamy and full of sexual tension.

When Roman comes home to Indigo Alaska for his best friend Walker's wedding to Sloan, he knew he would be spending quite a bit of time with and around Avery. Not only is Avery a bridesmaid, she also is his grandmother's right hand at her bed and breakfast. After all the wedding festivities are over and all the out of town family leave Indigo, Roman is thankful when his hometown gets back to normal. All he wanted to do was get some R&R and hope that the injury he received in a game before the NHL playoffs would heal and that his career would not be over. He was able to talk the team doctor into clearing him to play in the playoffs and to give him time to tell management about how serious the injury is, but the doctor will not clear him to play the next season.

Roman has some thinking to do about what his next move is going to be. But the beautiful and sexy Avery is all he can think about. A distraction comes in the form of him being asked if he could be a stand in as coach/trainer for the local high school hockey team, until they can find a replacement coach. He agrees, but when he goes to the ice rink, where he grew up playing, and sees the condition it is in he cannot believe that for a town that loves their hockey they let the rink get in such bad shape Avery is trying very hard to ignore all the feelings she has for Roman. It is also not helping that when any of the towns people to talk to her all they can say is that the two of them should be getting back together. Well easier said then done.

Roman does ask her about her trip to Ireland and about Declan O'Mara, who is the owner of the B&B she exchanged at for 3 months. He wants to know if there is a relationship between the two of them, especially since he has been told that Avery and Declan Skype each other, often. She would like to say yes, but she cannot have anything with Declan because of how she still feels for Roman. Roman has been talking to his agent about what he can possibly do for a career after he retires from hockey. His agent has some feelers out there and it seems that a major sports network might be interested in him. Out of the blue Avery gets a call from a man that is in charge of a hospitality convention in Anchorage. One of the speakers had to cancel and he thought she might like to come talk to her peers about her experience with the exchange program, since it is still a fairly new concept. Avery hesitates about going, but Roman pushes her to take the chance and in the process invites himself along. Her and Roman have some very hot time between the sheets, but she can sense that he is holding back from her. Avery is approached by a man that has hotels all over the world and well known in the hospitality industry. He offers her a job that would take her away from Indigo. Roman encourages her to take it. This is also the same time he finds out that an offer has be extended to his agent for him to join the sports network in L.A.

Will they take the jobs and be separated again because of career choices, or can they work out the logistics this time and finally be together? I wont tell, you will just have to read JUST IN TIME for yourself to find out. I can tell you as someone who has been waiting for Roman and Avery's story I was not disappointed. There is sexual tension, friendship and love between the two of them. I recommend JUST IN TIME to anyone that likes a well written love story. Also if you are a fan of Ms. Fox's writing you will love this one.

SUMMARY

Sometimes your past is the only link to your future. After a rejuvenating trip to Ireland, Avery Marks can’t help her frustration with the pace of her life in Alaska. Back in the small town of Indigo—where everyone knows everyone else’s business—Avery dreams of a bigger life. But with her ex-boyfriend back in town, it’s hard to get the past out of her head. Drafted by the NHL right out of high school, Roman Forsyth left behind the love of his life to follow his pro career. With an injury sidelining him, Roman isn’t sure how much longer he’ll be at the top of his game. He is sure that he wants Avery just as much as he ever did. While Roman wants a chance to make things right, Avery isn’t sure she can just forgive and forget. But when their long- buried passion sizzles back to life, they need to escape the watchful eyes of the rest of the town long enough to figure out if it’s any harder to stay together than it’s been to stay apart …
