Romance Paranormal

Sofia Rivera is only trying to find her roommate at a club but when she finds her ... she is being drained by a being that doesn't really exist. A vampire. At this point Sofia realizes she is in trouble and even THE DEMON'S SONG that she heard earlier doesn't soothe her.

Phenex was once the Angel of Song but now he is a fallen angel. He and others like him are no longer in hell but are on earth acting as mercenaries for those they call the "white wings" ... heaven's angels. There is something about Sofia that draws him to her.

While the king of vampires tries to figure out why his club seems to have been targeted by human killing rogues, he decides to use Sofia as bait. Phenex is not thrilled with the idea and promises to bodyguard Sofia. And it is a body he is certainly interested in.

Sofia has to accept a lot of truths ... vampires, angels, werewolves and most of all gorgeous fallen angels with amazing black wings. She has to trust her very life to Phenex but she is finding that it's her heart that is very much in danger.

THE DEMON'S SONG is a book I could not put down. This first book in the Hearts of the Fallen series is a riveting focus on a brooding fallen angel and the woman who helps him find himself again. Author [Kendra Leigh Castle] has created a fantastic world with a wide variety of personalities that she blends in wonderfully with dialogue, sparring and intrigue. Of course the sizzle between Sofia and Phenex will have you catching your breath and fanning yourself. There is a trend of angels and fallen angel books available but this one is a definite keeper. I can't wait to get my hands on book two.

SUMMARY

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. At least, that's how it seems to Sofia Rivera when her attempt to help a friend ends in a blood-soaked confrontation with creatures that aren't even supposed to exist. With a group of rogue vampires determined not to leave a single witness to their violence hot on her heels, Sofia finds herself saddled with an immortal bodyguard—Phenex, the fallen Angel of Song. While the vampire king roots out the corruption threatening to take down his underworld kingdom, Sofia will have to deal with a fallen angel whose dark beauty is often at odds with his ornery nature. Slowly, Sofia and Phenex give in to the strange attraction neither can deny. And as the darkness closes in around them, Phenex begins to wonder whether even the wickedest Fallen might find his own happy ending...and his heart.
