Romance Suspense

Park ranger Hope Banning's plans for a little vacation time with her sister Faith is about to take a FREEFALL. Though not her thing, Faith agreed to go on a white water rafting expedition to be with her sister, but Hope is called back to duty when a small plane is reported as having crashed into the mountains. Hope has no choice but to go and assess the situation but promises to join Faith and sends her on her way. A bigger problem awaiting her is the person who reported the crash is someone she really hoped never to see again.

Sam Rutherford has had a tendency of being on his own since his fiancée's death in a fall, but he had spent one night that he can't forget, no matter how hard he tries. Coming face-to-face with Hope isn't helping but he knows if she goes up to that site he will have to go with her. As they hurry to the crash site they both realize that the sparks are still sizzling. And though neither of them is comfortable with each other, what they find has them having to put their trust in each other.

FREEFALL is a tension filled action packed thriller with flawed but realistic characters that just will not let you put it down. This complex book has a dual storyline for the two sisters and the unexpected romance both find. Hope and Sam find each other and deal with pasts that still haunt each of them and Faith learns who she really is. I was intrigued by the way the past was worked through with each person facing their guilt or fears and opening up to the fact that they too deserve happiness. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope to read more of this genre by the author, Jill Sorenson.

SUMMARY

He's her only hope…

Park ranger Hope Banning's plans for a little R & R are put on hold when a plane crashes at the top of a remote mountain. Hope will have to climb the summit and assess the situation. And the only climbing partner available is Sam Rutherford—the enigmatic man she spent a night with six months ago.

For staying alive

Ever since Sam lost his girlfriend in a falling accident, he insists on climbing solo. But Hope and any potential survivors need his help. As Sam and Hope set out on an emergency search-and-rescue mission, he realizes the sparks still sizzle between them. And when they learn a killer is among the survivors, they must place their trust in each other for a chance at happiness.
