Celia Wird and her three sisters have never really fit in
anywhere. They do not fully belong in the human world as
they were cursed with unusual abilities, yet they do not
quite fit in the supernatural world due to the nature of
their abilities. They only have each other and try to
ignore the supernatural community. Unfortunately, when one
of her sisters is charged with killing a vampire, all of
the sisters find themselves in vampire court facing death
since it is common knowledge that vampires are harmless
creatures. Fortunately for them, it is proven that the
vampire was suffering from bloodlust, and thus her sister
acted in self defense. It soon becomes apparent that this
incident is not an isolated attack. What is causing the
vampires to go crazy? How are so many vampires being
infected by bloodlust?
Celia recognizes that her unique abilities may help in the
fight against the infected vampires, and she agrees to help
Misha, the head of a vampire family decimated by the
bloodlust. She hates that her sisters will follow her into
danger, but she will protect them with her life.
Unfortunately, she did not realize that joining the
vampires would pit her against Aric, the leader of the
werewolf pack who is intent on destroying Misha and his
infected family. Celia finds herself caught between the
two charming and handsome men, and must figure out her
heart's desire while making sure that everyone makes it
unscathed through the upcoming battles. How difficult will
the ensuing skirmish turn out to be? Will they find out
who is behind the rampant bloodlust before it is too late?
Cecy Robson switches it up by changing all the rules to
debut her entertaining urban fantasy. She provides us with
not one but four tough as nails heroines who hold family
sacred above all else. These feisty sisters certainly are
a force to be reckoned with, and they meet their matches in
the supernatural community. This book was a delight to
read. I found myself laughing at the antics, cheering for
the underdogs, and hoping for it to never end. The
characters are distinctive and each one adds a bit of
flavor to the overall story. Ms. Robson has created a fun
and engaging tale filled with werewolves, witches and
vampires -- only a few of my favorite things. SEALED WITH A
CURSE combines mystery, romance, and the supernatural to
take us on an adventure unlike any other. I truly cannot
wait to see what the Weird Girls have coming their way
next.
Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other
20–something girls—with one tiny exception:
they're products of a backfired curse that has given each
of them unique powers that make them, well, weird...
The Wird sisters are content to avoid the local
vampires, werebeasts, and witches of the Lake Tahoe
region—until one of them blows up a vampire in
self–defense. Everyone knows vampires aren't
aggressive, and killing one is punishable by death. But
soon more bloodlust–fueled attacks occur, and the
community wonders: are the vampires of Tahoe cursed with a
plague?
Celia reluctantly agrees to help Misha, the handsome
leader of an infected vampire family. But Aric, the head of
the werewolf pack determined to destroy Misha's family to
keep the region safe, warns Celia to stay out of the fight.
Caught between two hot alphas, Celia must find a way to
please everyone, save everyone, and oh yeah, not lose her
heart to the wrong guy—or die a miserable death.
Because now that the evil behind the plague knows who Celia
is, he's coming for her and her sisters. This Wird girl has
never had it so tough.
