Romance Paranormal | Science Fiction

Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other twentysomething girls—with one tiny exception: They are the products of a curse that backfired and gave each of them unique powers that made them, well, a little weird.... After Celia Wird and her sisters help master vampire Misha save his family, their powers are exposed to the supernatural community of the Lake Tahoe region. But fame comes at a price, and being "weird" isn't always welcome. To make matters worse, Celia desires the love of Alpha werewolf Aric, but his pack is bent on destroying their relationship to preserve his pureblood status. And once weres start turning up dead—with evidence pointing to the vampires—she must face the prospect of losing Aric forever. But the chaos only masks a new threat. An evil known as the Tribe has risen—and their sights are set on Celia and her sisters.

Re: A Cursed Embrace

I'm glad you didn't take "no" as your final answer! Congratulations and
thanks for the giveaway!!!

I found that one thing Authors have is - determination, among other things. Since you have 3 books under your belt, I would hide the list of 75 rejections!! I must confess that I've never read an Urban Fantasy book before, but would love to read your books. I'm sure they would turn me into a fan. The artwork on the covers are very well done, too!! They really catch your eye!! Congratulations on your books. I'm sure we'll hear more from you in the future!!

Always forge ahead! Great job!

I love when people are persistent in getting what they want.
And I'm glad your books are published in print!!! Reading on
screens is not my favorite!

I'm so glad you didn't listen to those rejections! These books look great and I can't wait to read them. Thanks!

Congratulations on your success after receiving those rejections.

What wonderful advice, not just for authors, but for life in
general. The zombie apocalypse didn't occur, and life carried
on. For those who don't give up, they will thrive, and are
closer to success than those who do. Thank you for the
reminder!

That's AWESOME that you kept going...I guess that's one reason
I'm a reader and not a writer...I don't think I could handle
rejection myself.

Thanks for sharing the advice Cecy, it is very much
appreciated!

Thanks for sharing. I am very glad you didn't take no for
an answer. I love the Weird Girls!
I will keep what you said in mind. I have lots of ideas for
books, but I haven't figured out how to write the book yet.
Somewhere between my head and the paper the story gets lost.
But maybe one day, they will get written.

I'm a chocoholic, too, mainly in the form of brownies and cake. I've gotten rejection letters before, but I'm not a writer. They were letters saying that I didn't get the job I applied or went on an interview for. A vampire and werewolf story sounds good. Congrats and good luck in the future with your writing.
(
Michelle Fidler 5:28pm August 12, 2013)

As the saying goes, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." So happy you did, and congrats on getting published and never giving up on your dreams (esp. after all those rejections). Covers are great!

There is lesson in persistence! I can't wait to read it, although when I hear "Weird Sisters", I think of Terry Pratchett! ;-)

(
Janie McGaugh 10:36pm August 12, 2013)

Love the post :) Rejection is everywhere and it is nice to
have those reminders sometimes, especially the fact that it
only takes one yes!
(
Erica Haglund 11:47pm August 12, 2013)

Congrats on braving through those rejection letters. You're right that rejection hurt but as you said nobody died.
(
Kai Wong 10:50pm August 13, 2013)

Well done and I am glad you kept working and pushing. An overnight success usually comes after many years of hard work!
(

Writers need to write, so that I can read. Good for you for
not giving up.
