P.J. Rutherford does not make friends easily after the betrayal of her former partner yet David Coltrane (Cole) gets under her skin in more ways than one. P.J. knows if they indulge in a sexual relationship it's bound to affect their job as KGI agents but why not worry about that after the fact.
Who knew it would lead to so much more, before they could find out there is a new assignment which puts them in a hell neither one could have ever imagined. The job is a disaster and when it is all over P.J. disappears.
Cole won't stop looking for P.J. no matter what and when he finally finds her, she is not the same person he fell in love with. Cole can only hope when the dust settles P.J. will allow him to show her she is worth loving.
A battle scarred heroine and a hero with a heart of gold along with the wonderful secondary characters from previous books in the series delivers a story about the gift of love. In SHADES OF GRAY Ms. Banks will wring every emotion there is from the reader. You'll cry, laugh, feel all tingly inside, and you'll even get mad but the one thing you won't feel is bored or indifferent. The pacing has just the right amount of each element to lead readers into a highly provocative tale that will linger in minds and hearts long after the last page is read.
