KEEPING SECRETS IN SEATTLE is the story of Violet Murphy. She is
best friends with Gabe Parker. They have been best friends since they
were kids. They tell each other everything, no secrets. Imagine her
surprise one Christmas Eve when Gabe announces he is getting married
to his girlfriend Alicia. He never mentioned it to Violet. In fact, they had
just broken up a few weeks before. Vi is so sick over this announcement,
she rushes out of the Parker's home so no one can see her pain. She is
hiding the fact that she has been in love with him since she met him.
After weeks of brewing and sulking, Vi's room mates make her get up and
go out. It is time to get over Gabe and let the past go. While she is it she
meets Landon, a hot carpenter who is very taken with Vi. Vi is torn
between her feelings for Gabe and the new feelings she is having for
Landon. Even though Gabe is engaged to be married to Alicia, Vi almost
feels like she is cheating on him and their friendship. Landon is perfect for
Vi but she just can't let go of Gabe. Also, while she is getting to know
Alicia, she finds out some very troubling things about her. Now what
should she do? Should she tell her best friend about what she knows or
just let it go. She decides to ignore it and move forward with Landon. Well,
Gabe doesn't like the new Vi, and this is where things get very interesting.
KEEPING SECRETS IN SEATTLE is an awesome romantic story. It is
also very funny with the bantering between Gabe and Vi. They know each
others thoughts before they even say them. I was hooked on their story
from page one and was so wrapped up in their relationship. Once you pick
up this book you will not be able to put it down. This was my first Brooke
Moss book, but now I'm on a quest to find the rest. Great job Brooke.
KEEPING SECRETS IN SEATTLE is one of my favorites for 2013!
Seattle hairstylist Violet Murphy always knew the day would
come when her best friend Gabe Parker would want to settle
down. She’d secretly wished it would be with her, but now
that he’s chosen someone else—the prim, perfect Alycia—he
wants Vi to be his best man.
Healing her broken heart isn’t easy, but when Violet meets
Landon Harlow, a man who isn’t fazed by her funky style and
less-than-delicate attitude, she takes a step in the right
direction. Until Gabe’s fiancé’s gorgeous façade begins to
crack, and Violet’s disturbing past comes back to haunt
her, that is. Vi now finds herself armed with a series of
lies that would break Gabe’s heart—and his engagement—if he
knew their truth, and a secret from their childhood that
could change everything
