Fantasy Urban | Romance Paranormal

OUT IN BLUE is set in a world where Archangels are not worshipped or feared but they and demons are considered menaces to be removed. The angels are also hunted for their long beautiful feathers. There are those who still believe in and protect the angels from Hunters and they are the demon Guardians. Wren is an angel who doesn't trust Guardians. Not since it was Lark, a guardian, who killed his parents and put him on a decade long journey or so he has believed all these lonely years.

Ginger Magellan was raised by Guardian Devin after her parents were killed when she was a baby. In a coffee shop in Vermont, she overhears Hunters talking about the angel they saw and the plan to capture him. She rushes to warn the angel and as a result begins a journey she never expected.

Wren has no choice but to help the human who warned him, who also in turn continues to help him recover from the fever angels suffer while healing. Wren must learn to trust again if he is to move forward and learning Ginger's secrets gives him a hope he has never known before.

OUT IN BLUE is a captivating mixture of paranormal and love story with demons and archangels playing the part of the hunted ones. There are a number of twists and turns in the plotline to keep the reader on their toes and reading faster. The instant fire between Wren and Ginger is expected by anyone who reads romance, but the way it is worked into the fast paced storyline is perfectly done. I hope to see author Sarah Gilman's The Return to Sanctuary series keep going on and on. There are a couple of secondary characters from this book that I would love to see in a book of their own.

SUMMARY

In a violent world where fallen archangels are hunted for their valuable plumage, Wren knows one thing for certain: the human woman who saved him from a poacher attack will die if she stays with him. The demon responsible for his parents’ gruesome deaths two decades ago pines for the chance to rip apart any woman who stands under Wren’s wing.

Wren doesn’t expect Ginger to stay by his side once she discovers his ability to drain life with a mere touch, yet she lingers. When an unusual talent of her own reveals the location of Wren’s father, Wren’s isolated world implodes. With the help of the demon protectors he’s sworn never to trust again, Wren risks everything to rescue his father, confront the demon who stalks his and Ginger’s every step, and claim his eternity with the most courageous woman he’s ever known.
