"the way to a man's heart"

Romance
It's all about appearances. Everyone is concerned with what
people think of them. But fashioning your entire life so
that people get the impression you want is beyond anyone's
imagination. Is it hard to live up or down to your
reputation? Strangely enough not all that difficult. Joan
Hohl tells her story with just the right amount of humor
and makes sure we are totally entranced with a lovely tale
starting right at the beginning. Better than any fairy tale
I've ever read. Marshall Grainger has done a masterful job convincing
everyone he is a womanizer without the ability to care. The
truth is that he worried about investing his heart in a
relationship essentially leaving him vulnerable which was
not acceptable. Marsh lives an extremely well organized
albeit lonely life by choice even keeping an estate home
far from Dallas city life. Thing is Marsh is fine just the
way he is and not looking for change. What he is looking
for is an administrative assistant willing to work at his
rather secluded home away from the hustle and bustle. Jennifer Dunning is searching for a new job that will fit
her requirements and at the same time distance her from her
parents. What she recently discovered about her family has
subconsciously soured her on relationships and motivated
her decision to flee. Working as Marsh's assistant in his gorgeous home should be
perfect until she realizes that her living quarters aren't
in a separate building but actually in the main house. She
knows Marsh is currently looking to have other house
positions filled but unable to attract viable candidates.
Imagine his surprise when this absolutely gorgeous creature
appears and fits the bill as his assistant and has
innumerable household talents to boot. It seems Jennifer
was brought up part of a wealthy family but her favorite
times and memories were those spent with the help. She
learned to cook and clean with the best of them but more
important was the nurturing missing from her relationship
with very social, busy albeit loving parents. Being a success will not win her any love or respect from
her mother or father and most importantly herself. Being on
her own, doing what she loved was going to make her happy.
Problem was an almost immediate attraction to the man who
was going to be her boss. Marsh was generous to a fault
with his money and was actually happy spending time with
his amazing new employee. Jen wasn't looking for either of
those she was looking for love and wouldn't settle for less
even if she did pass his crazy kiss test. Now what grown
man tests compatibility with a kiss. The answer is simple --
a man who is losing his heart and his mind.
BEGUILING THE BOSS is an insightful look into privileged
lifestyles which isn't always flattering but starkly real
and honest.
SUMMARY
From Secretary to Wife? Jennifer Dunning\'s boss has made her an offer too good to
refuse. Or is it? Jen knew Marshall Grainger\'s reputation
with women before she took the job. Disillusioned with love,
she expected to be immune to the sexy rancher\'s charms. But
nothing could prepare her for the explosive power of their
mutual attraction...nor for Marshall\'s proposal. But Marshall, too, is cynical about love. And his only
reason for marrying is to provide himself with heirs. So
despite their fireworks in bed, how can Jen say \"yes\" to a
loveless marriage-especially when it\'s not loveless for her?
