Romance
"Cajun Heat" Gabe Broussard left Louisiana to make it big in the movie
business. A hot body and extreme good looks made all his
dreams come true. His enjoyment of women turned some of the
dreams into a nightmare. A spurned woman has the gossips
churning. Gabe returns to Louisiana and sets out to seduce
the woman he left behind. Emma Quinlan has finally managed to lose all the excess
weight she carried as a child but she can't lose the curves.
When she meets Gabe again, all of her insecurities surface
again. Until Gabe makes it clear that she has all the
attributes he could ever want. "Love Potion #9" Roxi Dupree moved her business from Louisian to Georgia when
a hurricane wiped it all out. She makes potions and carries
some other items affiliated with witchcraft. Lately, she
has been dreaming of a dark stranger who makes love to her. The last thing she expects when she agrees to meet Sloan
Hawthorne, is to meet the man she's been dreaming of. Roxi
doesn't want to be set up but she can't deny her friend,
Emma, the request that Roxi help Sloan with the screen play
for the Morgana series of graphic novels. Sloan has directed some of the most successful movies in
Hollywood but there are some issues with the screen play for
his latest effort, When he starts dreaming of a witch, he
asks Emma Broussard for some help. His meeting with Roxi
Dupree will lead to a love that will last a lifetime. "Dear Santa" Holly Berry, a true crime writer is headed out to research
another murder when she swerves to avoid a reindeer and
crashes her car. She is rescued by Gabriel O'Halloran.
Gabe has returned to Cascade County after a stretch in Iraq.
His daughter needs him so he has gone from Marine to
innkeeper. Santa's Village, Washington prides itself on its Christmas
spirit. The residents operate stores and businesses all
based on Christmas. Five year old Emma O'Halloran has asked
for a mother for Christmas. Living in Santa's Village makes
her believe anything is possible. Holly is a cynic but the friendliness and acceptance she
receives has revived her creative juices and given her a
feeling she has never experienced. Gabe and Holly make a
great couple. Blue Bayou is a compilation of two novellas written for the
Brava line and the third is just right for the coming
holiday season. My initial impression after reading this
book was "HOT". Ms. Ross always writes a compelling story
with wonderful love scenes but she brings the heat in the
first two. Dear Santa was a satisfactory ending and a
little bit of a cool down after the steamy scenes in Cajun
Heat and Love Potion #9.
SUMMARY
Movie star Gabe
Broussard has come back to his Louisiana hometown for some
peace, but things only heat up the minute he reunites with
Emma Quinlan. With her lush body and hearty appetite, she's
no Hollywood matchstick, and oh cher, does he like that.
Emma just has to stop thinking about her former Cajun crush,
so she makes a list of all the things she wishes he would do
to her and buries it in a graveyard at night. Except it's
the wrong list--Gabe finds the right one, and he intends to
fulfill every blissful one of them. . . Love
Potion #9 It's bad enough that Hollywood hotshot
Sloan Hawthorne's knowledge of Roxi Dupree's witchcraft
comes from comic books and fairy tales. What's worse is that
she's falling hard for the outrageously sexy hunk. Pretty
soon they're both finding that the steamy Savannah nights
are perfect for conjuring up some mischievous magic of their
own. . . Plus Bonus Novella, Dear Santa. .
. Mystery author Holly Berry's SUV has broken down
in the little hamlet of Santa's Village, Washington. Holly
hates the holidays--that is until lodge owner Gabriel
O'Halloran and his five-year-old daughter rekindle her
belief in passion, magic, and Christmas wishes. . .
