THE FIRST MALE born of the first born Thibodeaux male had been prophesied to become the destroyer of worlds.
Simon Cassel had been born that male but he did not know his history. He only knows he was an orphan, in and out of foster homes and the reason he was in and out is because he is different. But now he is twenty, has Brooke, a woman who loves him and life is good. So why can't he sleep and when he does why does he dream of shadows and snakes?
Adelaide Thibodeaux, the Priestess Supreme of the Sisters- clan has a sworn duty to protect the world. Even from THE FIRST MALE, and even if that male is her own grandchild. Soon after his birth she uses a spell to hide him and tries to escape with him through a portal, he makes it out but she does not. Now with the approach of his twenty-first birthday, the spell is weakening and the shadows are beginning to change him. It is time for him to face his fate.
Unknown to Simon, as most things are, he was the first born but he has a brother Eli and his mother Rebecca, who has been searching for him as well as for the sisters of Adelaide. They search for Simon to fulfill the prophecy and for the sisters to remove their magic and weaken Adelaide.
The time comes when Simon must decide to embrace his fate or protect those he loves.
THE FIRST MALE is an intriguing concept for a different kind of fantasy book and an amazing first from the author. As each page is turned the mystery of Simon is exposed as well as the world he comes from and the dilemma he must soon face. If readers are looking for the typical "happy ending" they won't find it here, but they will quickly understand why the writer ended the story the way he has to.
