FURY'S KISS is the third in the A Midnight's Daughter,
Novels."
Dorina Basarab is a dhampir, half human, half vampire.
Usually dhampir's don't last long, because they are prone
to uncontrolled rages but so far Dory has managed to
unleash her anger only on demons and vampires that need to
be killed.
She was going on about her life as best she can when one
day she finds herself waking up in a lab with no memory of
who she is or how she got there. Louis-Cesare, master
vampire is there to rescue her but first he has to stop her
from trying to kill him. Luckily for him he is hard to kill.
Dory finds out she has been working for the Vampire Senate
task force, she survived but the vampire who was working
with her did not. She also can't remember if they found
the weapons that were being smuggled from the Fae.
Her "parent" Mircea puts her on suspension until they can
find out what happened to her and why. Dory isn't one to
sit on the sidelines so she looks into it herself with a
little help from her friends. Her perfectly normal world is
filled with handsome remarkable master vampires, warring
Fae, mages and a traitor that has to be stopped or the
Senate will fall.
FURY'S KISS is a multi-layered, fast paced book with a lot
of action, mysteries to solve and a lot of clever one line
zingers by a butt kicking heroine. Many new characters were
introduced, and with the reintroduction of previous
characters added to those layers. Ms. Chance lets you get
to know Dory and Louis-Cesare by delving deeper into their
past. Readers get to watch them slowly begin to relax
and allow their hearts to open a little at a time. I will
certainly be looking forward to more on Dory and her family
and friends in future A Midnight's Daughter Novels.
Dorina Basarab is a dhampir—half-human, half-vampire. Subject to uncontrollable rages, most dhampirs live very short, very violent lives. But so far, Dory has managed to maintain her sanity by unleashing her anger on those demons and vampires who deserve killing...
Dory is used to fighting hard and nasty. So when she wakes up in a strange scientific lab with a strange man standing over her, her first instinct is to take his head off. Luckily, the man is actually the master vampire Louis-Cesare, so he’s not an easy kill.
It turns out that Dory had been working with a Vampire Senate task force on the smuggling of magical items and weaponry out of Faerie when she was captured and brought to the lab. But when Louis-Cesare rescues her, she has no memory of what happened to her.
To find out what was done to her—and who is behind it—Dory will have to face off with fallen angels, the maddest of mad scientists, and a new breed of vampires that are far worse than undead…
