Romance | Romance Series

Patrolling the night shift, Officer Alana Anders investigates a lone stranger watching the creek under the "blue moon". Being drawn to this lonely man was too close to her own deep loss of her parents and brother in a plane crash. Learning he is a marine hero as well as her Uncle Duke's best friend's son, makes things more personal. Mack Graves and his father Fred have been estranged since taken away by his mother just for revenge against Fred. Ally has the sad job of telling this "gyrene" (a GI and Marine) that his father has passed.

Evading the receipt of a medal for his bravery in Iraq and Afghanistan, Mack chooses to visit his old home to hide. Inheriting the farm and house left to him, Mack originally plans to move on and honor his father's intent to will it to Ally upon his refusal. Ally makes that impossible as their mirrored souls begin to heal each other with the love they begin to develop. Each being strong and stubborn people, life becomes interesting. The sex is pretty great, too! Nearly losing Ally during a rescue, Mack is there to pick up the pieces and restore her sanity. It also forces Mack to see the reason he needs to accept his medal in honor for those that were not as fortunate as he. Therefore, Ally and Mack make the trip to Virginia but not without his special surprise for Ally.

A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER is a beautiful and poignant story of two lost and broken souls searching for the will to live again through the loss and horror each has suffered. Gaining strength from each other, new lives are built with unexpected new found love. I loved this story that was truly "A Holiday to Remember". A very easy and fast read that will leave warmth and renewed faith within you for some time to come.

SUMMARY

Alana Anders had lost enough in life to recognize a kindred soul. So when fate led her to a lonely cowboy—with a battle-scarred heart to match her own—she should have given him a nod and moved on. Because the holidays were upon her…and the last thing she needed was someone else's problems…. But what she wanted was another story. And she wanted Mack Graves, reluctant war hero and heir to the Last Call Ranch—badly. She knew that Nowheresville, Texas, was the last place he longed to be—at Christmas, no less!—but Alana just knew that she and Mack were meant to be together. And that in each other's arms they could forge a new kind of hom
