Ronan Quinn, the youngest of the four brothers, arrives in Sibleyville, Maine. The grandfather has raised the boys following the death of their parents. Operating Quinn Yachtworks in Seattle, Washington as a family business they have all been given a reprieve. Their grandfather sends each of them to a different part of the country for six weeks to establish what they truly want from their lives. Arriving at his destination, Ronan finds the residents unwilling to hire him or rent him a room upon hearing he is a Quinn. Receiving a "hint" from one resident not to use his real name, he strikes off to answer an ad at the Mistry Bay Oyster Farm.
Charlie, the boss, just happens to be a gorgeous, vivacious woman who completely captures Ronan's interest. Accepting the job also reveals his real name. Apparently there is a curse of 150 years ago put upon the town by a Quinn, believed to be a witch, that no one would find love within the village limits. Charlotte believes none of the curse and takes Ronan under her wing. Being completely entranced with each other their relationship takes a turn. Ronan learns to overcome his fear of water and no longer is a young man who seeks solitude. They are so comfortable with each other it is hard to believe they have begun an exciting and fulfilling sexual and emotional affair in such a short time. The town's people and local matchmaker endeavor to throw them together in an effort to break the curse. Proposing in front of the entire town by a forced action leaves Charlie believing Ronan is only agreeing because of the pressure and not because he truly loves her. Charlie takes time off alone for 5 days and Ronan's entire happiness depends upon his convincing her of his love upon her return.
Ronan's story is the final one in the saga of the Mighty Quinns. Each brother finds his true place in life and his soul mate. Each story has been unique and equally fascinating. The Quinn brothers are all hunky gorgeous Irish men able to satisfy their women sexually and emotionally. I am sorry to see the ending of this series and truly hope that Kate Hoffman replaces the Quinns series with another, as equally mind blowing as the current one. These reads are impossible to put aside until you have finished the final page!
