Romance Suspense
Lacey Delaney is a design engineer who has created a special
GPS unit for NASA that works deep underground. The GPS
could transmit through hundreds of feet of rock and can be
used for search and rescue operations in mines or caves.
Lacey has scored a huge coup in being picked to field test
the unit and has traveled to Kentucky to test in the coal
mines. Cole MacKinnon is a mining safety engineer, working
undercover for the Department of Labor. He has come back
home to Kentucky to investigate a series of accidents in the
coal mines in Black Stone Gap. Cole left several years ago
after his best friend was killed during a cave-in and he
wasn't able to save him. Cole comes to Lacey's rescue when she is stranded late at
night; he gives her a tow and offers her a safe place to
stay. Lacey decides to throw caution to the wind and act
solely on her desires while she is in Kentucky -- something
completely outside the norm for her. She and Cole have an
incredible passion that instantly ignites and leads to
stronger feelings neither was expecting. A KISS IN THE DARK is a fun, exciting, erotic romp that I
couldn't put down. Karen Foley created delightful
characters with Cole and Lacey and I was almost sad to see
the book come to an end. The descriptions of the Kentucky
countryside were breathtaking. A wonderful book!
FLYBOY is a bonus book included in this e-book and features
Sedona Stewart as an aerospace engineer for the Defense
Department. Sedona is disillusioned after being passed over
yet again for a promotion and she uncovers a dirty little
secret within her department. There is a club you need to
join to get a promotion -- you have to have a fling while you
are traveling for business and take pictures to prove it in
order to get a promotion. Sedona immediately takes this information to Human Resources
and is told she doesn't have enough information for them to
take any action. She is outraged and puts in her two-week's
notice. Before Sedona can leave, there is an emergency with
F/A-44 Coyote jets. She is sent to Lemoore Naval Air
Station to investigate the issue with the jets to determine
what is causing the jets to crash. Lt. Commander Angel Torres is a Navy pilot who is currently
doing test flights for the Defense Department. He is sent
to Lemoore Naval Air Station to help with the investigation. Angel and Sedona have been flirting with each other for
years, but it's never gone beyond simple flirtation. Now
that they are on a trip together, will they be able to
resist temptation? Will Sedona be able to bring down the
boy's club within the Defense Department? FLY BOY was a fun, romantic romp that didn't disappoint. It
had a lot of sizzle and heat as well as great character
development. Lt. Torres is a wonderful bad boy through and
through, someone you just can't resist. Ms. Foley
definitely came through again with FLY BOY, it was a
wonderful bonus book!
SUMMARY
Anything can happen in the dark
Scientist Lacey Delaney has a hard rule: no dating men in
the mining industry. And anyway, she'd rather focus on her
work—designing a sophisticated piece of equipment for
locating trapped miners. But when she finds herself stranded
on the side of a Kentucky road and rescued by a drop-dead-
gorgeous guy
well, who's to say her business trip can't
have
a little pleasure? Then Lacey learns that Cole MacKinnon is a mining engineer.
His job is hazardous—and so is getting involved with him
beyond a few nights of wickedly hot fun. What Lacey doesn't
know is that Cole is actually an undercover federal agent, a
job that carries even more risk. And the deeper they go, the more dangerous it will
get
.
