Most if not all in the Middle East are choosing democracy for their country's government. They are tired of having tyrants for leaders and tired of extremists who cause them and others needless harm or death. But there are still those snakes who lie in wait for a chance to seize power, to become the world leaders, tyrants. Power is all they want and no matter who gets in the way, they will mow right over them.
There are two crazed men who are very close to holding the world in their hands. Their names are Dyadya Gourdjiey and the other is only known by the name "The Syrian". Jack McClure, special agent for Department of Defense has been following the trails of these most powerful thugs, but while doing so, he falls in love with Gourdjiey's beautiful and powerful granddaughter Annika. Jack and Anika are in Moscow when Annika hears news of her grandfather's failing health. This draws in many creeps and thugs who want to know her grandfather's secrets, for greed propels them to do so. Annika and Jack fight to keep her grandfather safe from these loons and they are constantly on alert.
Jack has a surrogate daughter, Alli Carson is the daughter of a US president who has died. But while Jack is in Russia, someone stalks her on the internet. Puts up nasty photos of nude bodies of women using Alli's head pic. Allie has no one to confide in, except for her friend Vera Bard. Can she trust Vera? Only time will tell, but in the mean time, Alli wants to find who this stalker is, but while doing so brings back her worst nightmares.
While these stories run their course, the Secretary of Defense, Dennis Paull, with the help of detectives Nona Hendryx and Alan Frain follow trails of secrets, lies, corruption that just may start from the President on down. Nona is put into a very strange situation to help catch these greedy mongers and Alan will do anything to save her.
Who is Father Night? They will all find out at the end of this book, an old legend, a man who has been forgotten about in history. But he's pure evil, very evil.
There are many characters in FATHER NIGHT, but I don't want a spoiler here in my review, I enjoyed reading FATHER NIGHT very much. This book will capture your imagination and will keep you guessing to the end.
A tidal wave of reform is sweeping across the Middle East.
Many lurk in the shadows, eager to seize power--giants of a
vast criminal underworld, fueled by revenge and vengeance.
Their wars know no end. Their power knows no bounds. At the
center of it all are two men who are inches away from
holding the world in their hands: one is known as Dyadya
Gourdjiev and the other is known only as the Syrian.
Department of Defense special agent Jack McClure has
followed this trail of shadows and lies right into the arms
of Gourdjievβs alluring, powerful granddaughter, Annika
Dementiev. The lovers are in Moscow when news of Dyadyaβs
failing health draws a slew of vultures--circling, anxious
to seize the empire of secrets he spent a lifetime building.
Jack and Annika find themselves locked in battle to ensure
his safetyβ¦but when it comes to Dyadya, nothing is as it
seems.
Alli Carson, the child of a dead US president, has become
Jackβs surrogate daughter. While Jack is in Russia, Alli is
targeted by a cyber-stalker who knows more about her than
anyone should. With no one to trust but her friend, Vera
Bard, Alli is determined to discover the truth, but her path
forces her to come face-to-face with the nightmarish terror
of her past. As these two stories play out, Secretary of
Defense Dennis Paull, with the help of detectives Nona
Hendryx and Alan Frain, follows a trail of lies, corruption,
and secret pacts that begins with Washington D.C.βs Head of
Detectives. All paths collide at the feet of one man, an
old legend adapting to an ever-changing landscape⦠a man
history might have forsaken, but whose heinous evil is still
very much alive: Father Night.
