Romance Suspense

Having travelled all the way from Hopewell, New York (pop. 468) to the Walls Prison in Huntsville, Texas, the young widowed schoolteacher, Sarah Durandt, had hoped for closure. She was there to see Damian Wright, a dangerous serial killer and predator executed. Since his capture, Damian had given up many details about his horrendous crimes, but not a word on where Sarah's husband, Sam, or their small child, Josh, was buried.

Can she ever find what she needs to have closure? All she has is the memories of all that blood -- too much blood. After two years, she thought that she could get over her grief, but it would spring anew and catch her unexpectedly. They had been so happy and now just for a small shed of cloth... it would make so much difference to her! Her family and the townsfolk in Hopewell have been helpful to her; especially Alan Easton, a lawyer for victims' advocacy who has come into town to help and who has stayed for Sarah. Alan has been helping her to get over her grief and now wants her to marry him and honeymoon in the Caymans. He doesn't want to wait and feels it is the best thing for her to get over her grief. She doesn't quite understand the rush, but he has been very kind to her.

Meanwhile, FBI Supervisory Special Agent Caitlyn Tierney has been made aware of a small discrepancy in some old evidence. Despite the increasing pain from killer headaches, Caitlyn realizes this evidence, is small, but very important. To investigate it further, she drives to Hopewell. The local Chief of Police is helpful, but something is a little off. What exactly is going on?

BLIND FAITH is sure to be another hit for bestselling author CJ Lyons who is well known for her romantic suspense thriller and realistic powerful action. This stand-alone story starts slowly like an extreme roller coaster, but once it crests its first peak, its rolls and twists and turns with non-stop page turning adventure! There is a large cast of characters from a Russian mobster bent on revenge, flawed heroes, to young teenagers caught up in unexpected dramatic action. I particularly enjoyed the feisty red-haired FBI Special Agent Caitlyn Tierney who is committed to seeing justice done, despite the odds. Sarah also proved to be a strong character who finds true courage and strength from the love in her heart.

With its multi-layered secrets and betrayals, readers who love romantic suspense are sure to find this a compelling read!

SUMMARY

Sarah Durandt knows the killer is dead. She watched him die from a lethal injection in the execution chamber. But Sarah finds little comfort in knowing that the deranged psychopath who murdered her husband and son will never kill again. Since he never revealed the location of their bodies, she never found a sense of closure. So now, Sarah has decided to return to her home in the Adirondacks, to search for whatever remains of her loved ones. An unmarked grave. An article of clothing. Anything to make this terrible dream seem real. But what Sarah uncovers is far more unnerving—and much too horrifying—to even consider…

Maybe they executed the wrong man. Maybe the killer is still out there.

Maybe, for Sarah, the nightmare is just beginning.
