Chelsea Knot is your "typical teenage girl" with all the
perks that come
along with that title. That is until something devastating
happens because
of a secret that she failed to keep. This events sends
Chelsea through a
spiral of emotions and she is left reeling. She decides to
take on a vow of
silence in response to this devastation and in turn goes on
a journey of
finding herself and others.
I think this is the most realistic feeling young adult
contemporary that I've
ever read. Chelsea is relatable and acts the way a real life
teen might. This
beautiful story is full of heart and over-flowing with
emotion. It's a coming-
of-age story that perfect for women of all ages.
SPEECHLESS is a beautiful story about love, friendships and
the lessons
learned in adolescence. It's a new modern classic. One you
have to read to
believe.
Hannah Harrington is an outstanding author who is just on a
roll with her
young adult contemporary books. I will absolutely be
anxiously awaiting her
next book!
Everyone knows that Chelsea Knot can't keep a secret
Until now. Because the last secret she shared turned her
into a social outcast—and nearly got someone killed.
Now Chelsea has taken a vow of silence—to learn to keep her
mouth shut, and to stop hurting anyone else. And if she
thinks keeping secrets is hard, not speaking up when she's
ignored, ridiculed and even attacked is worse.
But there's strength in silence, and in the new friends who
are, shockingly, coming her way—people she never noticed
before; a boy she might even fall for. If only her new
friends can forgive what she's done. If only she can
forgive herself.
