Marissa Bennett's life fell apart the day she found her
husband in bed with another woman. Married for just a year,
she feels like an utter failure. Now divorced and
penniless, Marissa is returning to her hometown of Hopeful
Ohio to get back on her feet.
Unfortunately, that includes moving back in with her
parents and sister until she has enough saved up for her
own place. Marissa finds a job as librarian and tries to
mend her broken heart.
Sheriff Connor Doyle knew a girl from that little town in
Hopeless Ohio when he was 19 years old and she was 18. She
went by the name Rissa and was his girlfriend for a couple
months. After taking her virginity they ended up breaking
up and that was it. But when he realizes the new librarian
in town named Marissa is Rissa from his childhood, he is in
for more than he bargained for.
Marissa holds a grudge against Connor and the last thing
she wants to do is associate with him at all. But this
small town has other ideas on their mind. Everywhere she
goes, Connor is there. There is no avoiding him. Everyone
thinks they should be together and have no idea about their
past relationship. Will Marissa be able to start over with
Connor or will her broken heart be too much to piece back
together?
TEMPTED AGAIN is a contemporary romance with a nice touch
of comedy mixed in. It's been a while since I read a book
all in one day but that is what happened with TEMPTED
AGAIN. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down.
The small town with people constantly in their business,
the meddling mothers, the undeniable attraction between
Marissa and Connor, all of those aspects made TEMPTED AGAIN
a fun
book. I laughed out loud many times at Connor's family and
how invasive they could be.
If you are looking for a book that you will become absorbed
in, TEMPTED AGAIN is definitely the way to go. I loved
reading about Connor and Marissa and I look forward to
Cathie Linz's next book.
SUMMARY
Marissa Bennett needs to start over, but the last thing she
