Jill would do anything for her younger sister Jessie, which
is the only possible explanation for how she ended up in
the royal castle of a tiny European country on a reality
television show. Beautiful aspiring actress Jessie
auditioned and won a role on the show just before she
became happily engaged to a wonderful man. To avoid a
breach of contract, she sends Jill in her place to play the
role of Princess Jane, a wealthy royal in search of Prince
Charming from a group of 12 gorgeous bachelors.
In real life, Jill loves her job as a police officer, and
she has some trouble adjusting to her life of feminine
leisure in the castle. What gives her the most trouble is
the presence of Rob Lancaster, the handsome TV producer who
coaches and critiques her every move. The more time the
leading actress and producer spend working together on the
show, the harder it is for both of them to believe that
Jill should fall in love with one of the available
bachelors. While Rob knows the show's ratings are key, he
dreads the final episode when Jane must pick a man to join
her on a honeymoon vacation, because in his heart, he
wishes to become Mr. Jane Millionaire.
Despite the predictability of the title, I truly enjoyed
this light-hearted romance. While I don't usually like to
watch reality TV, this story drew me in by including the
behind-the-scenes drama of the production. The main
characters are very believable. Both Jill and Rob are
constantly trying to help other people, instead of worrying
about what might make them personally happy. Without giving
anything away, I was pleasantly surprised several times by
twists or sub-plots in the storyline. An amusing
contemporary debut for Janice Lynn, winner of
Romantic Times BOOKclub's American Title contest.
TUNE IN
On the set of Wolf TV’s hot new reality show “Jane
Millionaire,” the steamiest scenes aren’t in front of the
camera—they’re in-between takes.
TURN ON
With twelve gorgeous bachelors at her beck and call, Jill
Davidson (AKA Jane) should be in heaven. Instead, her
insides are sizzling, and the guy responsible isn’t even a
contestant!
AND GET A TASTE OF TRUE TEMPTATION
Rob Lancaster loathes reality television, but
producing “Jane Millionaire” is worse than anything. If
only his star weren’t quite so appealing. If only there
weren’t so many other hunks hanging around. If only he
himself were Mr. Jane Millionaire….
On TV or off, anything can happen.
