Fortune Redding, CIA assassin has a bounty on her head, 1 million for her body, 10 million alive. Seems Miss Fortune really ticked off somebody and now her boss believes there is a leak at headquarters. He has a simple plan for her, until further notice she is to impersonate his niece in a little town in Louisiana. Shouldn't be a big deal, she's handled worse, no big deal ... then she reads the file on Sandy-Sue Morrow. A former pageant queen turned librarian! She might be able to pretend to be a librarian especially if they asked her questions on weapons, the making of and using, but a beauty queen. Fortune Redding is not "girly" girl, she hates stilettos unless they can be used as a weapon, doesn't even wear makeup and her hair is cut boy short.

The real Sandy-Sue is heading for Europe as Fortune finds herself in Sinful, Louisiana with hair extensions, fake nails, wearing make-up, stilettos and dragging pink luggage. Pink! Without blinking an eye she's ticked off and embarrassed herself in front of the hunky deputy sheriff Carter LeBlanc, meets the final original members of the Sinful Ladies Society (aka Geritol Mafia); Ida Belle and Gertie, gets involved in a banana pudding war, a murder, missing suspect and theft. It seems that the peaceful little town is not so peaceful.

She can't wait to see what happens next and neither can you.

LOUISIANA LONGSHOT is a hilarious book with kooky characters that are really endearing. You will laugh and shake your head in exasperation at some of the things Fortune gets into thanks to the "Geritol Mafia" members.

If you liked the movie "Miss Congeniality" or the Stephanie Plum books you will love LOUISIANA LONGSHOT.

SUMMARY

It was a hell of a longshot...

CIA Assassin Fortune Redding is about to undertake her most difficult mission ever - in Sinful, Louisiana.

With a leak at the CIA and a price on her head by one of the world's largest arms dealers, Fortune has to go off grid, but she never expected to be this far out of her element. Posing as a former beauty queen turned librarian in a small, bayou town seems worse than death to Fortune, but she's determined to fly below the radar until her boss finds the leak and puts the arms dealer out of play.

Unfortunately, she hasn't even unpacked a suitcase before her newly-inherited dog digs up a human bone in her backyard. Thrust into the middle of a bayou murder mystery, Fortune teams up with a couple of seemingly-sweet old ladies whose looks completely belie their hold on the little town. To top things off, the handsome local deputy is asking her too many questions. If she's not careful, this investigation may blow her cover and get her killed.

Armed with her considerable skills and a group of old ladies referred to by locals as The Geritol Mafia, Fortune has no choice but to solve the murder before it's too late.
