Romance Paranormal

Nathaniel is a fallen Arch Angel whose job it is to harvest souls from evil doers on earth. As a Soul Weaver, Nathaniel uses those souls to weave replacement wings for his fellow Soul Harvesters. Chloe McCrea lives alone above the bookstore that's been in her family for generations. She has been alone since her parents died and over the past few years, social anxiety issues have made leaving the bookstore more and more difficult. Chloe and Nathaniel's lives intersect as he is leaving a soul harvesting. She was involved in a car accident and Nathaniel is drawn to the scene. In a moment of weakness, Nathaniel can't stand to see Chloe die and he saves her. In the process Nathaniel ties their souls together. A year later, Nathaniel is sent to harvest a soul, and finds himself at Chloe's door. Rather than harvest Chloe's soul, Nathaniel seizes the opportunity to spend some time with her. Nathaniel and Chloe's connection grows deeper every day, but their time together is limited. SOUL WEAVER is well-written story that provides an alternative to the traditional story of Heaven and Hell. I fell more in love with Nathaniel with each page I read and my heart broke for Chloe as we learned how she struggled with social anxiety. Hailey Edwards does a marvelous job of building the world of Dis with incredible detail -- I could feel the heat and smell the sulfur. There are some wonderful secondary characters in this book that I would love to see explored in more detail, so I hope Ms. Edwards returns to Dis soon.

SUMMARY

Since the accident that nearly took her life, Chloe suffers from acute agoraphobia. Living alone above her family's bookstore, she spends restless nights terrified by strange visions . . . until a mysterious stranger appears and offers her salvation. Chloe is drawn to the ethereal, gorgeous Nathaniel-but her haunted soul warns her there is more to him than meets the eye. An archangel who roams Earth collecting souls of the newly departed, Nathanial is the sole witness to the accident that should have taken Chloe's life. Seduced by the purity of her soul, he defies Providence by saving her life. But his attempt at kindness marks Chloe for damnation, and makes her an unwitting pawn in a game of unholy ambition. Now together they must fight the demons of Hell itself-for a love that defies the boundaries of Heaven and Earth.
