I only wished that there were more glimpses into Niall's past. Three years ago, she experienced something that still haunts her today, and much of that affects her relationship with Vic. Exploring her background would have been a pleasure to read.
Vic is a fantastic hero. Both dark and dominant, his presence demands reader's attentions and I was helpless but to oblige. I enjoyed the fact that although he is dominant in the bedroom, he still showcases some vulnerability. Adding to his appeal is the fact that he isn't the perfect model-type. His physical imperfections make him seem more real. It only made me love him more.
Another great thing about this book is Kery's voice. Her writing is effortless, even as she frequently switches back and forth between different POVs. It's so easy to get lost in the switch, yet Kery manages it with ease.
WICKED BURN will leave you breathless, panting, and begging for more. Blistering hot, yet equally emotional, readers should keep a fan on-hand. Not even a heat wave gets as hot as this!
