Dr. Petra Robichaud was recruited, forever, by the gods
into a MASH unit. Recruitment in this war isn't exactly
voluntary: if you've got the skills, you go to serve.
However, not only is Petra a great doctor, she has another
skill she tries to keep under the radar for fear of being
killed. She can see the dead.
There's a prophecy about the end of the war and peacetime,
but messing with prophecies is a dangerous business. That's
why, when she rescues a handsome commander with more than
just her recognized medical skills, and a bronze knife
starts following her around, she figures the best thing she
can do is forget the man, her unusual abilities, the knife,
and, most of all, forget the prophecy. Or get drunk. Or
assist her werewolf and vampire roommates in practical
jokes. However, Commander Galen of Delphi will not be put
off from his mission, and it seems the fates are in his
favor. Just like the knife, the man will not go away, even
when she tries to transfer him out. Unwittingly, she falls
in love with both Galen and his irresistible sense of honor,
but can they save the world with the small things when all
the big things conspire against not only peace, but also all
of the mortals caught up in the war?
IMMORTALLY YOURS as much as I did. I
expected it to be good and somewhat romantic and
interesting, and it was. However, the humor and little
details, as well as the fact it had an amazing theme snuck
in, just made me LOVE it.
How long it takes for people to
earn leave, the emotions of those communicating back home,
the interactions among the MASH unit members, particularly
keeping in mind that some used to be worshiped, were all
fantastically developed. IMMORTALLY YOURS flew by. I'm
thinking I'll get the Angie Fox's Demon Slayer books
because
what others have noted about that series are the
characteristics that
are so positive here: the humor combined with the character-
building.
No one patches up the incoming wounded like Dr. Petra
Robichaud. Recruited by the gods for her uncanny medical
skills, she’s the best M*A*S*H surgeon in the army. Along
with a nosy guard sphinx,vegetarian werewolf, and
otherparanormal paramedics, she bandages soldiers who are
built like Greek gods (literally). But when one sexy
immortal ends up on her operating table—half dead and
totally to-die-for—Petra’s afraid she’ll lose her patient
and her heart…

Commander Galen of Delphi is one gorgeous but stubborn
demi-god. When his spirit tries to slip out of his fatally
wounded body, Dr. Petra has to slip it back in—unwittingly
revealing her ability to see ghosts. Now that Galen knows
her secret, he’s convinced she’s part of an ancient
prophecy. If the oracles are right, Petra could lead
Galen’s army to peace. And if he seduces her on the way to
