Do you believe in fate? If something tragic were to happen would you ask yourself what if? What if I did this or didn't do that? What would happen if you had met someone before you met your current love? Would you still fall in love with him/her or would you not even notice them? Jolie Willkins is about to find out for herself, when time is reset for her and she has no memory of becoming a witch, the queen of the underworld or falling in love with Rand.
Jolie Wilkins thinks she is just an average woman who happens to see people's aura and sometimes views glimpses of their lives. She runs her Tarot card store and is perfectly happy with her life. Then a sexy stranger walks into her store and Jolie feels drawn to him and has a sense of deja vu. She is even more surprised when he asks her out on a date. Sinjin is nothing like any of the guys who are usually interested in her so his over the top attention feels great but there is just something fishy about him.
Just when Jolie is beginning to revel in her relationship with Sinjin, in walks another mystery man. The electricity between Rand and Jolie is off the charts but when Rand starts to warn her off of Sinjin, Jolie doesn't know who to believe. Rand has been crazed with worry about Jolie. He has been searching everywhere and throughout time for her. Unfortunately, now that he has found her she doesn't know who he is and has no memory of their bond. Rand is furious that Sinjin has twisted her fate by resetting time and making sure Jolie meets Sinjin before Rand.
In THE WITCH IS BACK, Jolie finds herself back in her Tarot card shop without any memory of her life as a witch. Best Selling author H.P. Mallory's depiction of Jolie is witty and amusing. I personally adore all of her internal monologues. She has the conversation with herself that most of us would, which makes her a character you can identify with even though she is a witch. Avid readers of the series will find they are biting their nails with anticipation waiting for what will happen next. Will Sinjin and Jolie finally, you know? Will she remember Rand? If she does remember Rand how will their relationship be affected?
THE WITCH IS BACK, book four of the Jolie Wilkins series gives readers and Jolie insight of her what her life as a witch would be like without Rand. The book will keep you guessing right until the end. Having read all the books in the series including the novella from Rand's point of view and I would recommend reading the series in order. They are written so that you could read it and keep up with what's going on but you would miss out a lot of who the characters are by skipping the previous novels Besides you want to be caught up for the fifth and final book, Something Witchy This Way Comes, September 25th.
