Inspirational Mystery

Juliette Taylor and Marcus Stone met in an airport twenty- five years ago while stranded due to bad weather. They spent several hours talking and getting to know each other. Both were unhappy with their chosen careers and wanted to make a change. They encouraged each other to go after what they really wanted in life. The brief encounter drew them together with a special feeling for each other. Marcus promised Juliette that he would find her again when he found his own happiness.

Juliette Taylor was a top supermodel in the 80s and now owns a skin care and cosmetic line called JT Lady. She is headed to Palm Grotto Spa in southern California for a weekend faith-based retreat her company is sponsoring. Lately Juliette's company has had its woes with counterfeit produces hitting the market. As she arrives at the airport, she runs into an old modeling friend and colleague who is rather difficult to get along with. Juliette tries to avoid contact with her, but Raven sees her anyway. Later Juliette discovers Raven is also at Palm Grotto Spa for the weekend. Could anything be worse?

Marcus Stone did try to find Juliette after he left his job and started his own company, but he discovered that Juliette was engaged to be married, so he let her move on with her life. He has just finished a contracted job on a top secret government task force with the FBI involving a terrorist cell in Atlanta. Juliette's name appears on a list from the cell's records. He fears for her life, so he checks her out online, only to find that she has never married and will be in southern California for a retreat. Quickly he enlists his mother to go with him, under the guise that he is treating her to a spa weekend, and takes off for California.

On the day that Juliette arrives at the spa, Raven is found dead in one of the treatment rooms, with the therapist crouched in a corner in a trance. Everyone is bussing about what could have happened. As Marcus arrives the following day, he learns of the tragedy and finds Juliette and offers his help in trying to solve this murder. It seems that some of Juliette's products were altered and caused the death. But who was the culprit? And could they have really been after Juliette?

BEAUTY TO DIE FOR is a truly delightful tale about finding happiness in life and building relationships. The masterfully woven plot takes many twists and turns and you'll find yourself flipping pages quickly to discover their next suspect. BEAUTY TO DIE FOR is a fast-paced murder mystery you will not be able to put down. There are some very touching and inspirational moments as well as some quite comical ones. BEAUTY TO DIE FOR is a great read!

SUMMARY

Juliette Taylor walked away from her career as a supermodel twenty-five years ago. Now approaching fifty – an emotionally complex milestone -- she co-owns a beauty supply company that makes skincare products for salons and spas. Her niche is pampering Christian women who usually spend more time caring for others than for themselves under the slogan:Isn’t it time someone took care of YOU for a change? When Juliette arrives at the Palm Grotto Spa to host a spiritual retreat, she runs into an old modeling colleague, Raven, who had always been disliked in the industry for many reasons. She isn’t there for the retreat; in fact, her presence at the spa is somewhat mysterious. Not long after Raven makes a cryptic threat to Juliette, the unsympathetic back-then beauty is found dead, poisoned by something in the green clay of a chai soy wrap. The following morning, a banner for the retreat has been unceremoniously altered:It’s your turn to be nurtured, to be restored . . . to be murdered.Suspicion is directed at Juliette who has history with Raven and certainly knows how to use beauty products. But for murder?! Now she must find the real killer before the police really take care of her.
