Kitty and Jeff and are trying to deal with having a young baby and taking over as the diplomatic corp for the Alpha Centauri but it isn't going very well.
Kitty has been taking a class called Washington Wives. The teacher isn't impressed with Kitty and the only friend she has made in class, Eugene. Eugene's wife is a new senator and she is spending more time working than with him. He and Kitty have bonded as the only failures in the class.
The President's Ball is coming up before the class ends and the teachers asks them to keep their participation in the class quiet. That really gives them something to look forward to.
Chuck comes to them with rumors of an assassination attempt courtesy of their favorite (not so much) tabloid reporter. There is no other information so they are working blind. When someone blows up Kitty's limo, the Airborne and its members will take action.
Ms. Koch kept the action and humor levels high in this book. It was one of those that the reader doesn't want to put down. I love this series and can't wait for the next installment.
