Clementine Pritchard has done what so many people could never bare doing, faced her life and thrown up her hands in defeat. In the thirty days she has left, Clementine has resolved to make the most of it, she will do all of her favorite things and eat her favorite foods...after all, she doesn't have time to get fat! Nothing and no one alters Clementine from her pre-determined course.
Clementine's character is phenomenal. She is the epitome of someone who just doesn't care anymore. Her happy-go- lucky personality contrasts starkly with one you might expect of someone contemplating her own death in thirty days. She is outgoing, amusing, and matter-of-fact. I made an instant connection to Clementine and liked her easily. The other characters are important as they affect Clementine's ultimate fate so deeply and I enjoyed getting to know them all.
Despite the potential ending, the events in LOSING CLEMENTINE are fast-paced and the twists will force you to continue reading avidly. The background behind Clementine's story is revealed slowly but Ream does a wonderful job holding a reader's attention. LOSING CLEMENTINE is one book you won't want to miss.
A fresh, fun, totally addictive debutβby turns hilarious and

order en route to her eventual planned suicide a month later.
First time author Ashley Ream takes a usually macabre

in Clementine, has created one of the most endearing and
unforgettable characters in recent fiction.
