Lucian Roman, the youngest of the Roman brothers, is also
one of the coldest; at least on the surface. Underneath this
veneer of ice burns a fire that even this vampire can't seem
to extinguish. Lucian knows he should stay as far away from
Bronwyn Kettler as he can. The problem is that since she fed
from him, he can't get her out of his head, his unbeating
heart, or his throbbing body. He wants her in a way that he
can't explain or deny. Lying in wait outside her house, he
watches her night after night as she lies in her bed trying
to quench a heat of her own.
Bronwyn is a vampire genealogist of genius intelligence who
has also spent most of her life trying to avoid the fate of
her older sister. That fate was to be given over to the
Breeding Male and impregnated with twins. This pregnancy
killed her and Bronwyn vowed to never let that happen to
her. However, she's now approached her Meta and there's
still no sign of her True Mate. She can't seem to move past
her insane longing for Lucian since she fed from him to save
her life. In order to get past her almost painful urge to go
to Lucian, she makes a deal with her close friend, Synjon
Wise, and they profess to be True Mates.
On the day of their mating ceremony, Bronwyn is kidnapped
and flashed to a deserted island location and is soon joined
by Lucian. They've been set up by a terrible enemy in order
to complete Lucian's transformation into the Breeding Male,
the one thing that Bronwyn both fears and hates the most in
the world. Yet, it's becoming painfully clear that Lucian is
also what Bronwyn LOVES the most in the world.
Their hunger for each other may become their undoing and
cast Lucian into a future that he always dreaded, especially
now that he realizes that he can feel love for a female as
well as lust. Bronwyn is what he wants and when the two of
them get the chance to experience what their love can be,
neither of them want to let go.
ETERNAL CAPTIVE is the third book in the Mark of the Vampire
Series and Laura Wright doesn't disappoint. All of your
favorite characters are back even if some appear in cameos
only. Ms. Wright brings the fire between Bronwyn and Lucian
right off the page so much that you'll be gasping for breath
yourself. Each word and action will hit you with another
blast of heat so you may want to read this in a nice air
conditioned room. Be ready for a huge twist at the end that
you never saw coming. At any rate, just be sure to pick up a
copy of this book so you, too, can enjoy a lot of sizzle.
Since feeding her his blood, Lucian Roman has struggled with
his obsession with Bronwyn Kettler-fighting an
uncontrollable desire to kill her, if he has to, and the
vampire she has sworn to wed. But when a dangerous enemy
threatens Bronwyn, only Lucian can save her life. Even if it
means sacrificing his own...
