With so much at stake, Kynana and Ryker are going to have to work out their problems and rely on each other, or they may be amongst the first casualties in a war that will become unstoppable.

ASCENSION is the debut novel from Sable Grace, which is a pseudonym for writing team Heather Waters and Laura Barone, which I would never have been able to tell from the writing. The whole story is so seamless that I would have never known it was written by two different people if I hadn't read the acknowledgments at the beginning of the book. As far as debut books go, ASCENSION is a clear winner. I found the story to be engaging and interesting. I kept wanting to know what happens next. I very much enjoyed the characters in the book and loved that they were flawed and human. The ending of the book will leave you on edge, clamoring to find out what happens next. Sable Grace make an awesome writing duo and I can't wait to see what they give us in the future.
