The vampire Soren grieves the loss of his wife so long ago; he makes a bargain with Leila, a dark voodoo priestess with her own agenda, to bring his mate back to him. Harley Vaughnn appears at his sensual resort as a lust slave, and Soren is sure the evil woman came through, but how is he to claim her as his mate when Leila wants that spot as part of Soren's payment on her favor?
This writeup may sound like the start of any given vampire/mate paranormal romance, but the story just keeps spiraling in increasingly interesting ways. The tale expands its own mythos to create a really fantastic story that should make you want to rush out and read TEMPTATION AT TWILIGHT as well as any future Lords of Pleasure works.
