Maddie is a bride without a groom. Her husband is a military man who was gone for more than six years of their early marriage. When he finally returns, thinking to take Maddie back to Scotland with him to produce some heirs. Maddie has different ideas. After waiting for her husband for so long, she decided to make a life for herself without him. When Angus sees Maddie, he decides that he must capture her heart.
Maddie finds her passion in photography, a passion her husband resolves to support. After all, her photographs led him to her. Once they meet, they begin to develop a relationship that starts with friendship and leads to love. However, they have plenty of obstacles in their way. Maddie wants to continue following her photography passion while Angus wants to claim the things he expected to claim from a young age. These obstacles are slowly tearing the two apart, they must be resolved or the two must part.
The events of COLORADO DAWN are fast-paced. The reader will likely finish the novel in less than two days. Kaki Warner has a wonderful way of describing the rich Colorado terrain and Maddie's photographs. The characters have many layers, they truly are dynamic and change over the course of the story. The reader will fall in love with Angus alongside Maddie and begin to measure up past and perhaps present boyfriends to him! There are humorous, serious, and love scenes - a variety for the reader to sift through. Romance fans will love Kaki Warner's latest book!
